When Things Look Bleak

Round lake pic

When times are hard and things look bleak just remember that God has everything under control.

Remember Job? The devil did so many things to him: destroyed his property, had his livestock stolen, killed all his children, even gave his boils (which Job used a broken pot to scrape off of him because they were so painful) and yet God was in control of the situation, He told Satan that he could do anything to Job except kill him. It was all a test for Job. To see if he would stay true to God or deny Him.

And even through everything he went through Job never cursed God. He stayed true through the whole situation. And God blessed him for it in the end, blessing him with much more than he had in the beginning.

The moral of the story is to stay true to God through any trials you may be going through. God is always in control and will only let Satan do so much.

Read the book of Job.

I took the above picture at a beautiful State park near our house.

A little howdy do

Hello everyone coming to this humble blog for the very first time.

My name is Elijah. I am a Christian, a writer, a filmmaker, and a photographer. This blog is to display my photography: pictures I take in this beautiful place I live in called Idaho.

This picture you see above I took not too long ago on a thirty mile bike-ride around a local lake.

I’ll be posting twice a week, so stick around and you’ll be seeing a lot of really awesome pictures.

Have a blessed day!

P.S. Here’s a Bible verse which may encourage you if you’re feeling a little down with everything that’s going on in the world today:

1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
